PMCT—sometimes referred to as “digital” or “virtual” autopsy or “postmortem CT” or “CTMP”. This is a modern, technology-driven alternative to a traditional autopsy. Instead of physically opening the body, it uses CT scans to create detailed visualisations of the internal organs and structures. In many cases, this will help identify the cause of death without the need for invasive autopsy
CTPM complements but does not always replace traditional autopsy. Final decisions remain with coroners.

Trauma analysis: Fractures, cranial injuries, rib and spinal injuries
Foreign body detection: Blades, bullets, medical devices
